The Berlin Journalism School (BJS), with the support of the Federal Foreign Office of Germany, is organizing a cross-border workshop bringing together participants from Armenia, Georgia, and the Republic of Moldova. The goal is to work jointly with journalists and NGO representatives to better recognize and critically analyze disinformation campaigns, and to develop effective counterstrategies – with a special focus on public awareness and outreach in the participants’ home countries.

Workshop Content:
- In-depth training on current methods and strategies of disinformation
- Exchange with leading German and European experts and organizations
- Visits to newsrooms, NGOs, and media institutions in Berlin
- Development of individual concepts for public education and follow-up workshops in the participants’ home countries
- Creation and publication of media content (e.g. articles, podcasts, videos)
Who can apply?
For NGO representatives from Armenia, Georgia, and the Republic of Moldova
- Active involvement or membership in an NGO with a social, educational, or media-related focus
Required application documents:

• Why is your participation in the workshop important?
For journalists from Armenia, Georgia, and the Republic of Moldova:
• Applications are open to both staff and freelance journalists, as well as journalism students
• Strong interest in international exchange and the topic of disinformation
Important: Participating journalists are required to publish a journalistic piece in their native language after the workshop. This can be an article, podcast, radio, or TV contribution and should reflect the workshop’s content or insights gained during the event.
⚠️ The published contributions (articles, podcasts, etc.) will be remunerated separately.
